andrew is the editorial director of le cool, a publishing company that provides knowledge for better living throughout Europe. The company currently has offices in eight cities (Amsterdam, Barcelona, Istanbul, Lisbon, London, Madrid, Rome and Milan) with further cities opening soon. Its main product is le cool magazine, a weekly, free email magazine in each city that uncovers remarkable events and places to enjoy.
He was the editor and main writer of le cool changed my life: a weird and wonderful guide to Barcelona, an unusual and controversial new guidebook to the city ("the travel guide for the been-there, done-that set" -- New York Times). He also oversees Ling, le cool's new inflight magazine for the airline Vueling. Further guidebooks and other le cool projects are in the pipeline.
andrew is the co-curator of Colophon, a major international symposium for magazine creators and fanatics, held in Luxembourg every two years. The first event in March 2007 was attended by more than 2,000 people from 25 countries, and featured 24 hours of talks and discussions, four workshops and five exhibitions. andrew was also editor of We Love Magazines (Mike Koedinger Editions), a 392-page book that accompanied the exhibition, that contains in-depth analysis of the past, present and future of the magazine industry. The book is currently on sale in specialist bookshops around the world. He then edited Colophound, a strange and intelligent magazine assessing the impact of the first event.

Since 2001, andrew has been editor of Galerie Papers (formerly M-real magazine), a biannual international magazine about editorial strategy and design produced by John Brown Publishing on behalf of the m-real paper company. Contributors to this groundbreaking publication have included David Carson, Neville Brody, Erik Spiekermann, Oliverio Toscani, Rankin, Rick Poynor, Nicholas Coleridge and Terry Jones.
"A brilliant example of paper’s potential in the creative process... one of the most progressive pieces of publishing, produced for a tough, judgemental audience." - APA Awards 2005.
