When magazines go live

popupmag
This sounds really rather awesome:

Pop-Up Magazine is the world’s first live magazine, created for a stage, a screen, and a live audience…

Each evening of Pop-Up unfolds like a magazine. Short reviews, dispatches, and provocations anchor the front, longer features follow in the back. Our theme is no theme. Pop-Up seeks to explore the varied world around us, through stories and ideas. Science, music, politics, art, business, food, literature, design, nature—all in a 75 minute show.

The next issue is available for one night only on September 25th in San Francisco, and features contributors to old-fashioned paper magazines including Wired, The New Yorker, Harper’s and the like, plus filmmakers and photographers.

I’d love to produce an accompanying publication, though I suppose I’d have to call it Live Show.

Funny, we’re doing quite a similar thing over here in Arnhem on Sept 26th! We call it ‘Live Magazine’ and at events/festivals we crowdsource content, let creatives contribute and get a hold of the atmosphere in a instant designed mag! Always good to produce something fast in a short time!
