Another day, another pointless “best cover” award. So let us welcome the Maggies! The whatwho? Ah, the new British magazine cover awards with “celebrity judges” Linda Lusardi and Toby Anstis. I’m not kidding, you know.
The inaugural Maggies have been created by online subscription agency iSubscribe, who strangely enough have offers on all the shortlisted mags, plus every person who enters gets a special gift voucher for money off, erm, an iSubscribe subscription. What’s really odd is that there seems to be no consistency among what’s been shortlisted. Or did they just accept virtually everything they got?
Makes the ASMEs look like the Oscars. Which they aren’t. Yawn.

The rumour is that they had very few entries and so everyone got a nomination.
It’s up to us all to do our wee bit and make sure Profi wins – vote early, vote often, vote tractor.
