Suffice to say that the Conch Republic passport saved one man's life in Guatemala when confronted by armed revolutionaries. "Americano no! Republica de la Concha". Why not buy your own?

And Robbie the Pict has launched a lawsuit against the British government over bridge tolls to his island. If he wins, he'll get a multi-million pound compensation payout. All power to the man.


In the meantime, I'm getting an au pair. This one, for instance.

Dear Guys

Who have processed your applications to The Conch Republic. I have been deceived by this stuff. I have got hold of the Citizenship passport. If you have already travelled to The Conch Republic, please let me know as to how to go to the Key West. I mean is there any specific route to reach the place.

Key West is part of the State of Florida -- it is the southernmost island belonging to the United States. I just returned from there while on vacation. The Conche Republic is the name they invented when they had some trouble with the US immagration service slowing down their tourist trade. They threatened to ceceed from the nation (become their own nation: the Conche Republic). They created a flag and partied for three days. The U.S. government took down the road block that caused the problem and all was forgotten. The locals still like to boast that they are an independent nation, but they know they really are not. A U.S. passport is still required to enter the U.S. Key West is part of the U.S. A Conche Republic passport will only get laughs, it will not get you in.
