[Blog Tennis] Polyorchid "are a young metal band based in Surrey, England" whose fortunes have yet to include an exploding drummer. Here's a brief summary of their fortunes thus far:
28/12/96 Band forms under the name Morning Wood.
25/1/97 Officially undertakes a new bassist, Michael. We are sure he will bring depth and charisma to our meek existance.
7/3/97 The band members were attacked on friday while playing football by a 30-strong group of ravers. James and Michael required hospital treatment. The attack was totally unprovoked and will probably inspire something.
23/6/97 Now named Polyorchid, the band have got six songs in their repitoire so far... They are temporarily named; six to one, sick, tikka masala, butt cheeks, promises promises and relax.
28/9/97 After months of unavoidable frustration the band has decided to scrap all but one of our songs (tikka masala).
14/11/97 Polyorchid finally get singer, Kevin.
05/01/98 Kevin leaves the band. The band becomes slightly down-hearted.
29/05/98 Polyorchid perform first gig ever.
18/07/98 Original bassist Michael Rapkin leaves for Australia.
20/07/98 James breaks his wrist. The band cannot gig or play for the next fifteen weeks.
The comeback gig should be something special.
A polyorchid, of course, is any creature that has more than two testicles(SFW). Just one of many words that should be revived.

I was sitting sipping my coffee desperately trying to stay awake to view the impending tri-nations match and found my way to this article on my band.
I felt that anyone that has read your account from this site would be left thinking we had disappeared into obscurity and felt it was my duty to fill in the blanks as that account was written so many years ago...but i digress.
our music composition and execution have progressed and our grammar has weakened, and we are hanging in there and still going strong after 6 years, but yes we stil desire recognition for our efforts.we are recording a new e.p. which i anticipate, will be our best work so far.stay tuned on our new more undeveloped site at www.destined.to/polyorchid.
thank you for your time.
DARREN (BASS guitar).
