Cast
Marta Rubio (Woman). Born in Barcelona, Marta grew up in France, Switzerland, Ireland and the United States. She trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, and starred in several plays on the Off-Off-Broadway theatre scene. Marta moved back to Spain in 2001, appearing onstage in Barcelona and Madrid, as well as in the films Octavia and The Machinist.
Jimmy Shaw (Jim). His career began Off-Broadway in Charles Busch's hit comedy, The Lady In Question, at The Orpheum Theatre. Since then he has been a constant presence in North American theatre, and was nominated for The LA WEEKLY Award for Best Supporting Actor for the role of "Dixon" in Melody Jones. He recently starred in Dream Man, a one-person, one-act play directed by Michael Kearns that headlined DT Espacio Escenico's Festival Versión Original in Madrid. He also acted in the LA premiere of Jessica Hagedorn's Dogeaters, and collaborated again with Kearns for the World AIDS Day Benefit production of Robert Chesley's Jerker. Jimmy has guest-starred or had recurring roles on such TV series as Will and Grace, Beverly Hills, 90210, Sisters, and Major Dad. He lives in Madrid.

Andrew Losowsky, writer. Works as a freelance writer and editor for publications such as The Times, The Guardian and Wired. He was named one of the UK's New Journalists of the Year in 2001. His plays Odessa and Untitled (Box) were developed in association with the Royal Court Theatre Young Writer's Programme. He is a director of le cool, a publishing company that provides unusual experiences in cities around Europe. His book The Doorbells of Florence is currently in production. He has been living in Spain for three years. This is his first professionally produced play. www.losowsky.co.uk
Tom Wright, director. Directing includes: Young Hamlet, The Soul of Ch’ien-Nu Leaves Her Body (both Young Vic), Twelfth Night (Cambridge Arts Theatre), As You Like It (Rose Bruford), The Tempest (Southwark Playhouse), The Water Engine (Theatre 503/Young Vic) and Six Characters in Search of an Author (Birmingham School of Acting). Tom is co-artistic director of Meeting Ground Theatre Company with whom he has directed Shoes (Nottingham Arts Theatre) and Small Waves (The Powerhouse). Tom worked as assistant director at the Royal Shakespeare Company, Young Vic, West Yorkshire Playhouse and the Bristol Old Vic. He lives in London.

Galante Productions was founded in Madrid in 2005 to promote new and exciting contemporary theatre in Spain. Workplay is its first production.
